The dialectic of opposites, of confronted realities, is the engine that drives much of the creative work of Patrizia Lohan.

The disparity of origins and the existential environments that form her cultural substratum, which – although this might sound a cliché – set the German rigor and rationality, assimilated during her academic period, against the Latin capacity of improvisation and passion, has been decisive in her approach to art and life. Being methodical and reflexive on one hand and inquisitive, vehement and intuitive on the other, through the conjunction of these characteristics results a singular work – which embrace the influence of tendencies like the Minimalism or Neo-Plasticism and the principles of Bauhaus – she is doted with an innate sense of precision and balance, but also impregnated by a fine poetic spirit.
